Chocolate Slices


3 eggs
¼ tsp salt
½ lb butter
1 ½ cups sugar
1 tsp vanilla essence
1 ½ cups plain flour
4 oz sweet chocolate
4 oz chopped walnuts


  1. In a small saucepan add the chocolate and butter and melt them.
  2. In a bowl add the eggs and beat them well then gradually add the sugar and beat.
  3. When the mixture is thick and creamy stir in the vanilla and the chocolate mixture then add the flour, salt and lastly the chopped walnuts.
  4. Pour the mixture into a well greased 9 inch square baking tin and smooth the mixture well into the corners. Bake at 180° C for 40 minutes.

Make sure not to over bake since the centre of this mixrure should be fudge like and not hard. Cool completely before cutting into Chocolate Slices.
