In the early years, when the term organic was still unknown in Ireland, Ballybrado grew organic grain for organic baby food producers in Europe. When the first containers arrived, the laboratories couldn't believe the results of their analysis. There was a complete absence of heavy metals in Ballybrado oats, much to their delight.
The reason why? There is no substantial industrial history in Ireland and as heavy metals are industrial pollutants they proved absent in the grain analysis.
Eventually organic awareness in Ireland rose to a point that all grain production was processed in Ireland and today the Ballybrado product range consists of:

Savoury Nite Bites is a unique new product development. Ver tasty, or just plain - but with a bit of soft cheese or pate, or even melted cheese it creates the surprise of the unexpected. A wonderful enrichment of Europe's range of organic products.
